Privacy Policy

Job Avanti exists to write job applications from your own record. That means the service stores personal information by design — this page says exactly what, where it goes, and what never happens to it.

What we collect

• Account: your email address and a hash of your password (we never store the password itself), or your Google/LinkedIn identity if you sign in with one.
• Profile: the contact details you choose to add — name, headline, phone, address — and any images you upload (avatar, application headshot, project visuals).
• Records: the employment, education, skills, and other history you save.
• Captured listings: job listings you capture with the browser extension or paste in (title, company, location, description, URL).
• Application answers: answers you save to screener questions (like work authorization or notice period), and the text of questions the extension met but couldn't answer — the question and its answer choices only, never anything you typed into the form.
• Generated documents and your application log, including statuses you set.

How it's used

To run the service: matching listings against your records, generating resumes and cover letters, and showing you your own data. When AI generation is enabled, your records, your profile name and headline, and the target listing are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to produce the draft. We show you which records each draft used.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than operating Job Avanti.

The browser extension

• It acts only when you click a button in its popup — never in the background. Capture reads the listing you're viewing; Auto-Fill enters your saved profile details into the application form in front of you.
• Auto-Fill writes your own data into forms — your profile details and the application answers you've saved. It never overwrites something you typed and never guesses: a question with no saved answer is left blank, and its question text (with its answer choices, for multiple-choice) is sent to your own account's answers queue so you can answer it once for next time. It presses a form's submit button only if you enable auto-submit, and logs those submissions to your own application history.
• It collects no browsing history and no analytics.
• It stores your server URL, pairing token, and auto-submit preference in your browser's extension storage; data moves only between your browser and your own Job Avanti account.

Where your data lives

Job Avanti runs on Cloudflare: application data in Cloudflare D1 and uploaded images in Cloudflare R2. AI generation is processed by Anthropic. These providers process data on our behalf to deliver the service; we add no other third parties.

Cookies

One cookie: the session that keeps you signed in. No tracking cookies, no third-party analytics.

Security

Passwords are hashed (PBKDF2), traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS), and uploaded images are only served back to the signed-in account that owns them.

Retention and deletion

Your data is kept while your account exists. To delete your account and everything in it, email support@jobavanti.com from the address on the account and we'll remove it.

Children

Job Avanti is not directed to anyone under 16.
